Sharing for the sake of sharing.
The fact of the matter is, we live in a modern world of consumption. The more you stay in a stagnant state, the more prone you are to consume.
Artificial Intelligence reaching the peak of realistic videos, photos, and art is inevitable. Not to mention censorship and the threat towards our freedom of speech. To combat this, I believe we must share more in an authentic and raw way.
The current trend of sharing is towards short form reels, Instagram slideshows, and some uncanny overproduced YouTube videos. All of these styles are robotic and almost like a human becoming AI?
Also if you are pursuing YouTube as a photographer and way to share, recognize that not a single person who does this makes a living directly from the videos they produce. It’s actually a complete waste of time to monetize yourself through Ad revenue, so I suggest to simply disable it. Over 50% of the internet are anonymous internet trolls and not worth engaging at all so I suggest to disable comments, disable likes, and share in an autotelic approach.
The future is in the hands of the artist. We must change the way we share and create our work for the sake of the future. We need no reward or praise, but to simply speak our minds and share our art, thoughts, and videos in a real way.
