Why I Love Black and White Photography

The simplest reason why I love black and white photography, and specifically photographing with the GR4 Monochrome, is that what I photograph is ultimately an abstraction of reality.

And what that provides me is infinite curiosity.

This unrepeatable practice keeps me returning to photography daily, for the surprise that arises in the frames that I make.

Through the mistakes.

Through the imperfections.

Through the way that light and shadow render upon my camera sensor.

It’s keeping my eyes open.

And keeping me curious to continue making pictures.
