Abandon Certainty

What’s popping people? It’s Dante, currently walking around Philly here at nighttime, photographing with the Ricoh GR IIIx, 71 millimeter crop mode, with the macro mode purposely knocked out of focus.

And so essentially, when I’m photographing, I’m merely curious about how life and light will render upon my camera sensor.

I’m not really looking to make a photograph that sort of states something as a fact, but I’m looking to evoke an emotional feeling through the imagery.

And at the end of the day, what keeps me curious about photography is the unknown, the spontaneity, the serendipity that arises in the frames.

And so I’m letting go of certainty. I’m letting go of photographing something as a matter of fact, but evoking an emotional feeling and embracing fiction through photography.
