Beauty in the mundane

To be in a constant state of creating brings me endless happiness. It’s easy to become depressed when I am not making something. Any moment becomes a joy when you have your eyes wide open, ears perched, and a camera in your pocket. The beauty is in the mundane.

Love is the answer

One of the greatest gifts traveling has given me is open-mindedness. No matter your race, creed, sex, etc. I now have a greater understanding of humanity. By traveling to new places without any pre-conceived notions, you open yourself up to learning and growth. Ultimately, in all aspects of life, I find that love is the answer.

Love thy neighbor as thyself.

When in Rome

When in Rome, do as the Romans do. A simple thought for anybody that desires to travel to a new place- just act as they do. If the people have specific customs and cultural practices that are foreign to you, adopt them. Greet people the way they do, dance like they do, and experience life in new places as the Romans do. Behave, and you will be given the fruits you desire.

Spiritual Warfare

War isn’t fought overseas or in battle. The war is fought for your mind every single day and it’s up to the self autonomous individuals to not allow the virus to penetrate our souls.

Don’t use AirPods on the street

If you want to listen to music while shooting, just blast it off your phone using the speaker. Maybe you can start a party with some people and get some photos out of it! Share the love and joy when listening to music in public.

The joy of creation

Ultimately I am a creator. I enjoy the act of bringing new things into the world. Whether it’s a photograph, a video, or a simple idea that I share, creating things for creation’s sake brings me joy.

Creation

from Latin creātiōcreationis; equivalent to create +‎ -ion.

  1. Something created such as an invention or artwork.
  2. The act of creating something.
  3. All which exists

What kind of man do I *NOT* desire to become?

I do NOT desire to be a slave.
I do NOT desire pleasure.
I do NOT desire possessions.

What kind of man DO I desire to become?

I DO desire freedom.
I DO desire more power.
I DO desire to create a family.

Why is this important?

I will feel like an incomplete man if I have a child one day and can only provide them with the cookie cutter life. A life of going to school, finding a basic job, and going on with life as a mindless slave is not a desirable thing for any real man. I want to raise somebody who will have the freedom to do and choose whatever path they want in life. I need to get there first, but at least I know what I do NOT desire…

Thoughts on time and photography

I ultimately think good work comes with TIME spent, but that doesn’t mean you need to constantly be working on coming home with “good” pictures. There’s not enough time to be working on masterpieces. It’s time to break any notions of what is considered a good picture and use time wisely. I don’t have time to play in Lightroom and use RAW files anymore. This is the point where I realize I already put the 10,000 hours in and can move on.

Let life flow towards you.
