Onto the next one
A good thought to have in photography. There is always more opportunities for pictures around the corner. No need to stress if you miss a shot.
Stop saying “sorry”
One of the silliest things people say constantly is “sorry.” What are you apologizing for?
EYE CONTACT
Eye contact and body language is so important. It seems that people lack the courage to make eye contact in modern society. When I open the door for people in stores or even accidentally walk in the same lane towards somebody else, they can’t even look me in the eyes. Hunched over men are staring at their cell phones or looking away towards the wall away from me. Did the pandemic create inevitable adverse effects on the way modern men interact within the public space?
“Marty the Robot” in Giant Grocery Store
I don’t know how to feel about this one… This robot has been around since 2019. While it has some charm to it, there is little to no function. It supposedly alerts employees when there are hazards or spills. How lazy are we becoming as humans that we are allowing these robots to replace the simplest of tasks? I won’t be surprised if there will be stores completely operated by robots in the next 10 years.

I made a page for my new black and white photos. You can view them here and on the top of my website via the navigation bar. There is an option to click on the photos and view them as a fullscreen slideshow. Enjoy the endless scroll!

Meet me at the Eagle
I like going to listen to the Wanamaker Organ everyday because it gives me a good starting point for my street photography sessions in the evening. Lately I have been experimenting with photographing towards the sun. It’s nice when you start at the Wanamaker building then walk up Chestnut Street to shoot towards the sunlight.
