Why Censorship is bad

For starters, I have been personally effected by the YouTube censorship boogie man for uploading a slideshow of my photography. They deemed some of my photos from the Palestinian city, Jericho too extreme for their platform. If I can’t showcase my perspective of what life is like in Palestine, that’s a problem for me. I now have this underlying feeling of fear that my work can get me censored or banned from YouTube if I continue to share photos there. It’s a big issue for me. I like the idea of sharing my work as slideshows on YouTube, but maybe I should just figure out how to make my own video sharing platform!

I really love people

If there’s one thing that street photography has given me, it is the power to be open minded and get closer to people. At the end of the day I have no ill will towards any person, place, or ideology somebody holds. I am the most open person that I personally know. I just don’t tolerate the “political correctness” that has run rampant in society today. Most people are living in fear and don’t even realize it. We need to all be able to say what is on our mind no matter if it is “offensive” to others.
