Intermittent fasting

Eat one meal per day before bed. Beef only. As a side I like spicy naturally fermented kimchi

Vibram Five Finger EL-X Barefoot Shoes

These new barefoot shoes that I am experimenting with are absolutely incredible. I put on a normal pair of shoes to go biking recently and when I stepped off to walk around they felt like shit. I think I finally found a shoe that I am happy with. I thought ASICS was good, but barefoot is definitely the way to go from here on out. My feet genuinely feel different already after only a few days of use. The way they naturally splay your toes out is insanely comfortable and fit my lifestyle perfectly with daily fitness and constant waking for street photography.

Lululemon or nothing

I have been exclusively wearing Lululemon clothing for the past 7 years. The clothing is pretty damn durable because they have lasted throughout my travels all over different parts of the world. You can style yourself for fitness, casual, or classy with the variety of what they sell. My recent favorite has been the Lululemon New Venture Blazer that looks super nice with the ABC Pull-On pants. Everything has zipper pockets and is more comfortable than any clothes I have ever worn in my life. Clothing is like armor and is worth investing in quality stuff. Once you go Lululemon, you can’t go back!

DREAMS

My dreams have been insanely potent with creativity and entertainment lately. Maybe the earlier you go to bed, and the deeper you sleep, the more epic dreams you have?

Cold showers

I have been experimenting with cold showers for the past month. It seems to have a lasting effect on me throughout the day that boosts my overall strength, confidence, and happiness. It definitely gives you a shock to the system after crawling out of bed and apparently is a natural testosterone booster and boosts your immune system. In praise of cold therapy!

Sleep early, wake up early

I went to bed at 9pm last night and woke up at 5am. 8 hours of sleep is okay, but I should realistically just sleep in for a few more hours tomorrow and get 10-12 hours of sleep. There is no need for me to stay up late at night. I like to get into bed around 8pm and fall asleep early because there is nothing else to do once I eat my dinner. What am I going to do? Watch a TV show? Check the big game? I swear there is way too little time in the day to be up late at night getting some dopamine hits to go through the day with my eyes bleeding

Movement

Anything that requires me to move seems to be a virtuous way to spend my time.

Meditation

I consider a lot of things as meditation. It’s not just sitting with your eyes closed and humming or whatever… Anything that allows me to clear my head of frivolous matters and think for myself is a good thing. For me it’s walking, biking, skateboarding, lifting, yoga, eating meat, photography, and my new hobby playing Kendama.

Disorder

Chaos and disorder is a good thing. A life of same old same old is never fun. Striving towards the things that are typically viewed as “dangerous” seems like a good goal.

Semi-nomadic lifestyle

The goal is to be semi-nomadic? To live in foreign place for one month at a time, once or twice per year seems like something worth striving towards.

Throughout all of my travelling, I now realize that one month is the perfect duration of time to spend in a new place. I’ve experimented with living in new places for 1 year, 6 months, 3 months, 1 month, and 2 weeks at a time.

I find it silly to bounce around from place to place while traveling. If you go to a new place, just stay put for one month. You get to feel the essence of what it’s like to really live there within a short duration of time. Day trips aren’t necessary while traveling. Just stay put and enjoy where you are in one city at a time.

Hanoi, Vietnam was probably the most peaceful and perfect place to live for one month. I could probably stay there for even longer if I wanted to…

Travel

“To be on a journey, often for pleasure or business and with luggage; to go from one place to another.”
