Child-like approach to photography
Just tinker on the street. What would a child do if they picked up a camera for the first time? I personally want to channel that energy more than some serious documentarian.
Forever an amateur
If another photographer on the street asks you what you’re doing/shooting, just tell them that you’re an amateur photographer. The eyes of an amateur will be the eyes that describe the city!
Using a viewfinder is for beginners
There’s nothing wrong with a viewfinder. You will learn the basics of photography and make some strides towards improving your photography! I’m just at a point where I don’t need it.
Toys are bad
A camera is a functional tool. An extension of your eyes and hands. Big cameras suck. Think longevity and simplicity. I’m in it for the long run!
Spartans march along the river
When I walk along the river, I like to imagine I am a soldier marching from Valley Forge to Philadelphia during the revolutionary war. Towards a warrior mindset to everything! Imagination and play is good.
