Take control

Be wary of the influence others impose upon you.

Autonomy

autonomy

Borrowed from Ancient Greek αὐτονομῐ́ᾱ (autonomíā, “freedom to use its own laws, independence”), from αὐτόνομος (autónomos, “living under one’s own laws, independent”) +‎ -ῐ́ᾱ (-íā, “-y, -ia”, nominal suffix). Surface analysis auto- (“self”) +‎ -nomy (“a system of rules or laws about a particular field”).

  1. The right or condition of self-government; freedom to act or function independently
  2. A self-governing country or region.
  3. The capacity to make an informed, uncoerced decision.
  4. The capacity of a system to make a decision about its actions without the involvement of another system or operator.
  5. The status of a church whose highest-ranking bishop is appointed by the patriarch of the mother church, but which is self-governing in all other respects.

Camera orientation

It’s important play with your camera’s orientation. If you usually stick to horizontal compositions, switch things up a bit and shoot vertically. Since using the Ricoh GR, I have been experimenting with my compositions way more than I used to due to the size of the camera and the ease of use.

Nostalgia

nostalgia

coined from Ancient Greek νόστος (nóstos, “returning home”) + ἄλγος (álgos, “pain”)

A longing for home or familiar surroundings; homesickness.
A bittersweet yearning for the things of the past.

Just buy an iPad Pro

It’s the greatest tool for any artist. You will see why once you start using the different apps and tools available. I also enjoy using the voice dictation to write these blog posts. You can stream your thoughts hands-free. On the go, I do the same with my iPhone.

My passion for creation

Whether it’s recording everyday life with a GoPro, photographing with my Ricoh GR, or playing with apps on my iPad, I NEED a constant stream of creation. To create is the ultimate pleasure in life for me
