Just shoot it
Don’t hold back with what you decide to press the shutter button for. Do you have a 0.1% interest in what’s in front of you? Just shoot it!

Street photography is a numbers game. How many miles did you walk? How many years have you been shooting? The longer you practice street photography, the more you realize what it takes to come home with a successful photograph. Street photography isn’t for those who seek instant gratification. You really just have to love life and exploring with your camera. The pictures are secondary. That’s why I believe curiosity is the ultimate goal of the photographer.
It’s more robust for artists to host work on their own active website and NOT social media. I don’t want anybody in between me and my work.

There’s lot’s of magic that can happen when looking towards the sun. I’m still on the hunt for a successful one, but here is an example. Exposure compensation +2
Maybe RAW is good for people that are trying to build a solid portfolio to get started? It worked for me for nearly a decade, but I realized that it is ultimately unsustainable and foolish to continue working with clunky cameras and big files going forward.

Surface analysis auto- (“self”) + -nomy (“a system of rules or laws about a particular field”).
It’s important play with your camera’s orientation. If you usually stick to horizontal compositions, switch things up a bit and shoot vertically. Since using the Ricoh GR, I have been experimenting with my compositions way more than I used to due to the size of the camera and the ease of use.

Just order a sparkling water. It should be mandatory for bars to carry Liquid Death Water
It’s the greatest tool for any artist. You will see why once you start using the different apps and tools available. I also enjoy using the voice dictation to write these blog posts. You can stream your thoughts hands-free. On the go, I do the same with my iPhone.
Whether it’s recording everyday life with a GoPro, photographing with my Ricoh GR, or playing with apps on my iPad, I NEED a constant stream of creation. To create is the ultimate pleasure in life for me
