How to exist outside the passage of time?
When time is so finite, and it is inevitable that you will die sooner than later, what can we do about this? To constantly create things, to be in a state of production, seems to be the ultimate luxury. To work on things that you 100% care about is a privilege. I believe in a world where we can all thrive together through the creation of things that we truly believe in.
When I photograph, I’m hopefully creating a work of art that will mean something one day and last generations from now. But alas, we live in the now. I create the timeline. To photograph is to exist outside the passage of time.
The largest municipal building in the country
When I walk by City Hall, I am filled with such inspiration. The architecture blows me away everyday. I can look at sculptures of great men such a Benjamin Franklin as I walk through the tunnels and photograph. There’s a reason why I love photographing around City Hall so much. It’s so wide open and freeing to get out from the tight streets and alleys and to trot around the plaza!
