Art is the future
I believe that the solution to today’s modern world of consumption is more production. I don’t think there is anything inherently wrong with consumption, but I personally find it mostly meaningless.
The reason why I believe art and media is the future is because of how easy it is to consume now with the phones in everyone’s pockets. The power of the artist has never been so potent. We no longer need to go through any gatekeepers and can become our own media empire!
Power to we the people…
The world is ours. Whatever artistic passion you have, I believe you *should* share it with the world. This is merely a suggestion as you have the choice to decide whether you’d like to keep your art for yourself or not.
Open source it
All of my photos are available for download and free to use if you choose so. The idea is that your art should become as accessible as possible to consume. There’s no need to hoard it all, just share it!
Imperfection is perfection
When it comes to creating new work, don’t sweat it! You don’t need to come home with a Mona Lisa or some intricate work of art every time. The more I meditate on my street photography practice, the more I recognize that the goal is to simply remain curious and produce more photos.
So what are you waiting for?
Get out there and move your two feet. Go outside and play in the street.
