Don’t become bogged down by camera gear

Keep your set up simple- one camera, one lens.

A common problem I see amongst photographers is the contemplation between which camera and lenses to use. If you’re thinking too much about gear, it will certainly interfere with your productivity and improvement as a photographer.

P for professional

My current favorite set up is the Ricoh GRIII as it is compact and fits in my front pocket. This way I can carry it with me wherever I go and there’s no excuses for me not to press the shutter. In terms of camera settings, I prefer P or AV mode. I also use snap focus, and simply point and shoot. After all, P is for professional! Don’t be a sucker that thinks you have to shoot everything in manual mode.
