Don’t worry about the future

Focus on the now. Stay present in the moment, today, and focus on what you can control in front of you. The future is dream, not real. Real life is outside your window, and in the real world.

The future is an illusion

Whatever thoughts you have about the future are irrelevant and a mere illusion. No amount of planning will do you any good. What you do now is what will translate into your real life experiences. The problem with modernity and society these days is that we’re told to focus on our goals, set a five-year plan, and sacrifice all of our time now for our retirement in our old age.

Why sacrifice your entire life to finally be free at age 65?

To me, this seems like a bad deal. By the time you “retire,” you’re around the age that your health begins decline. You might not have as much vitality or power to actually do the things that you’ve always desired.

Life is transient

Our time spent on this planet is not permanent, but temporary. We’re here for such a short and finite amount of time. My goal is to spend each and every moment soaking in the beauty of every day life, and live each moment, as if it is my last. Every single day I wake up in the morning and I’m so grateful to be here and blessed for another opportunity to head outside and experience life.
