Just produce more photos

Ultimately, the time you spend producing new photos is the most important aspect of being a photographer. There’s always going to be time for you to sit around, twiddling your thumbs, looking at them and editing inside.

Full force

Go full force with production and don’t worry about presentation. Detach yourself from the outcome, the results, and the way that you share the work. My ideal daily workflow looks like this:

  • Take pictures
  • Cull pictures
  • Upload to cloud
  • Repeat

Recognize that time spent producing is everything and stick to the plan:

New pictures every single day!

There’s no point in the process that I look through them and make sure to present them or put them up next to other photos, editing, and making ideas for future projects. Treat the photos as a stream of becoming. Great photography takes a lot of time.
