One meal a day

For over a year now, I’ve been practicing intermittent fasting and eating only one meal a day. What I realize is, humans eat too much and too frequently. Whenever I eat a meal in the middle of the day, it actually makes me sluggish and depletes my energy and mood. By waiting until the end of the day to eat, I’m filled with power, motivation, and a sharp mind to focus on my goals.

Food is fuel

I like to treat my food as fuel. I stock up on red meat for the entire month from Costco. I find that the lamb leg is the best bang for your buck at five dollars per pound and extremely delicious. The Wagyu ground beef is also one of my favorite options and tastes great. Ultimately, I believe meat is the most satiating food there is. Nothing fuels me the same or gives me enough power for a 24 hour fast the next day like eating a juicy steak. What’s most fascinating about red meat is the fact that you can eat as much as humanly possible and not feel bloated or burdened by the massive amount that you consume. Essentially, you can eat as much as you want at the end of the day before you go to sleep until you fuel yourself to satiation.

No more snacks

What’s great about only eating red meat and having one meal a day is the fact that there are no other options or little snacks in your cabinets and cupboards waiting for you to consume. It’s the ultimate cure for any food addiction or mindless snacking that you’ve become accustomed to. Just think, would a hunter eat a salad or granola bar before he goes and hunts his prey? Definitely not. Think more primal.

Laser focused

When I’m fasted, I’m laser focused. I feel like I can conquer the world on an empty stomach or like I’m on the hunt. I usually have some espresso in the morning. I only drink water and black coffee, no cream, no sugar. Coffee is maybe an appetite suppressant? Honestly, I just enjoy it because it fuels my creativity. I’d say, just consume as much coffee as you want similarly to meat, but cut it off early in the morning. I typically have my last cup of coffee at 9 AM.

Change your life

When you have one meal a day, it eliminates all distractions and useless food options from your life. Not only is it economical and helps you save the headache of choosing groceries, but you will be fueled with satiation, power, and raw energy to conquer each day. By fasting and consuming red meat, you will not recognize yourself after a few months of practicing this lifestyle.
