Sleep as early as possible

I think if you want to increase your strength, power, and vitality in life, it occurs in the period of recovery, while asleep.

Dream on

I typically have very vivid dreams. This is of course not every day, but when it does occur, it fuels my curiosity the next morning. It’s so exciting to go to bed because you never know what kind of dreams you will have. I look forward to going to sleep as much as I look forward to waking up.

Before sunrise

By rising before sunrise, it gives me a period to think, write, read, exercise, and do other creative tasks. I enjoy playing with my Kendama in a state of meditation. I’m also sequencing and editing photographs, making calligraphy drawings, collages, and tinkering with new ways of making things. I can flip through some photo books, and simply enjoy some coffee. I believe that the time in the morning before sunrise is so critical for my lifestyle. It’s hard for me to get the day started off on a good note without a good amount of time before the sunrise because I feel as though everything is rushed. By having one to two hours before the light is out, I feel relaxed. I can finish my full workout routine, prepare my food for the day, take a hot bath, and just kick back.

Power

I must say, going to sleep as early as possible is probably the most beneficial thing I’ve been doing this past year. By shutting myself down early in the evening, and getting in bed with a book around 7PM, and falling asleep by 8PM, I’m able to not only rise early, but rise early with insane power. Power is important to consider when it comes to having the audacity to hit the streets on a daily basis. Fuel your body with the proper recovery it needs, and go to bed as early as possible.
