Sleep is the most critical aspect of our health

The more I go to bed early, the more I realize how important sleep is in our lives. Every night I like to crawl into my bed around 8 or 9 PM. This allows me to get a sufficient amount of sleep and wake up early in the morning. Recently I’ve been waking up around 5 AM each day full of energy. This gives myself time to think and do creative work before the sun rises.

Set your circadian rhythm

Our circadian rhythm is our biological clock that determines the way our body functions and sets our sleep cycle. When the sun rises I like to go outside immediately and allow the sun to kiss my skin and enter my eyes. I typically stand topless somewhere in a pool of light and meditate for a half hour while I drink a liter of water. This fills my body with energy as I bask in the glory of the sun and allows me to start my day off on a good note.

Cold showers give you power

I believe that cold showers are a good way to boost my energy before hitting the gym. It’s good to start off the day with a little bit of pain and suffering. I believe this allows you to fortify yourself for any challenges that come your way. After the cold shower, everything else in the day seems easy.

Remain in the state of production

Whether you are making photos, videos, writing, etc. the goal is to stay in a state of production throughout the day. Don’t consume any media, YouTube, podcasts, or social media nonsense throughout the day. Spend 99% of your day working on the things that you’re passionate about and 1% doing any research or consumption.

Go to bed early

When you exert your physical body enough throughout the day, it’s inevitable that you’re going to want to hit the hay quite early. I practice extreme fasting of eating one meal a day before bed of only red meat. After I have my feast around 5:30-6:00pm, my body begins to shut down around 7pm. From there I enjoy taking a hot bath for 30 minutes and get right into bed.
