I think this applies for both street photos and videos. The more grain, the more grit, the more contrast the better. The darker the photos, the more aesthetically beautiful.
In terms of video and media production, the more raw, uncut, and authentic, the better. Real videos are made on the street in public.
When it comes to the best cities for street photography, it seems that the grittier the better. Thinking of Tepito in Mexico City or even my hometown Philadelphia.
