What I learned during my one year journey of the carnivore diet

Firstly, this has been the biggest life hack that I’ve ever found. I never feel hungry throughout the day, and I’m always fueled with energy and satiated. This saves a lot of time when it comes to cooking, prepping, and even deciding what groceries to buy. Now that I strictly eat 100% red meat, the decision is simple. I’ve become insanely strong this past year. I practice 24 hour fasting everyday and only eat one meal at night. Also, my physique has become demigod status. How to look like a spartan? Go carnivore.

Meat is medicine

Over this past year, I haven’t felt sick once. Not a single cold, stomach bug, or any other illnesses and symptoms of poor health. What I’ve learned is, meat is a healing food product.

Perfect gut health

One misconception I believe people have about eating red meat is that you will not be able to move your bowels. This is false because I have perfect digestion every morning at the same time every single day. Also, I literally never have gas or flatulence. Just think, the connection between your gut and your brain is critical to consider. If your gut is upset, it’s inevitable that you will become upset too. The elimination of all carbs, sugars, dairy, etc. has strengthened my gut. My gut health has also improved my cognitive function and ability to learn and think clearly.

The connection between the gut and the brain, often referred to as the gut-brain axis, is a complex and bidirectional communication pathway. This connection involves multiple systems, including the nervous system, immune system, and hormones. Key points about this relationship include:

  1. Nervous System Connections: The vagus nerve is a primary route of communication between the gut and the brain. It transmits signals in both directions.
  2. Microbiome Influence: The gut microbiota can affect brain health by producing neurotransmitters and other chemicals that impact brain function.
  3. Immune System Interaction: Gut health influences the immune system, which can affect brain health. Inflammation in the gut can lead to inflammation in the brain, impacting mood and cognitive functions.
  4. Hormonal Pathways: The gut produces various hormones that can influence brain function, including hunger and stress hormones.
  5. Mental Health Implications: There’s growing evidence linking gut health to mental health, with research suggesting that gut microbiota might play a role in conditions like depression and anxiety.
  6. Impact of Diet and Lifestyle: What we eat can significantly impact our gut microbiota, which in turn can influence our brain health and mood.

Understanding and harnessing this connection is a growing area of research, offering potential new approaches to treating a variety of mental and neurological conditions.

Real strength is made in the kitchen

One notion that has been on my mind recently is this idea of hypertrophy. The goal is to ultimately exceed your nutrition intake and have the maximum amount of red meat per day. What this does is it allows you to gain muscle, and lose fat simultaneously. Sure, lifting weights in the gym will train your muscles and increase your strength, but I believe it’s more important to consider the food that you eat. Carnivore diet allows you to increase your strength with no gimmicks. Forget about all of those protein powders and strange substances that are promoted in the fitness industry. The real deal is within the meal.

The etymology of “hypertrophy” comes from two Greek words:

  1. “Hyper” meaning “over” or “excessive”.
  2. “Trophy” deriving from “trophē”, meaning “nourishment” or “growth”.

So, “hypertrophy” literally translates to “excessive growth” or “over-nourishment”. In medical and fitness contexts, it refers to the enlargement of an organ or tissue due to the increase in size of its cells. This term is commonly used in reference to muscle growth through exercise.

Cholesterol is a natural steroid

Cholesterol can indeed be considered a natural steroid. It fits the definition because it shares the core structural characteristics of steroids: a carbon skeleton with four fused rings. Cholesterol is a crucial component in the body, serving as a building block for the synthesis of steroid hormones, including sex hormones like estrogen and testosterone, and adrenal hormones like cortisol. Additionally, it plays a vital role in the formation of cell membranes and the synthesis of vitamin D. Cholesterol is both synthesized in the body and obtained from dietary sources.

Eating meat makes you more beautiful

When you combine sun exposure, walking, weight lifting, fasting, deep sleep, and the carnivore diet, you become more beautiful. Not only will you notice your face becoming clear of acne and more lively with your lower body fat, you also will be blessed with sun-kissed olive colored skin. The connection between cholesterol and the synthesis of vitamin D is very interesting. Perhaps many American people stay indoors too much and don’t eat enough red meat which leads to very pale skin. This is a sign of poor health and not good.

Testosterone and joy

Since going carnivore, I’ve been insanely confident, and feel so joyous for this past one year. It’s actually incredible how happy you become by simply getting enough protein and sun exposure. I have an abundance of joy that I want to spread endlessly with others. I can’t help but smile throughout the day, compliment others, and take in every moment. I believe that the higher your testosterone, the more kind and gentle you become. Nothing really bothers you anymore and you can easily brush things off. With high testosterone, you are calm and filled with candor. I also believe that my street photography and artistic practices have improved because of my dedication to focusing on my physiology. Perhaps it’s true, a strong artist will make stronger artwork.

Why does this matter to me?

I believe that the body is democratic. With a little bit of discipline, anybody, and everybody can become beautiful, strong, and healthy. I encourage you to reflect upon the foods that you consume and your daily physical activity. At the end of the day, I just want everyone to thrive together! Also, I believe everyone has the right to choose how they want to live. I understand that I cannot change others decisions, but I am happy to help with simple blog posts like this about my experience.

Strong body, strong mind, strong soul!
