See How the Camera Sees

What’s poppin’, people? It’s Dante.

Currently experimenting with some video right now along the streets of Philadelphia, shooting with the Sony DCR-SR40, which is an extremely fun Handycam system that I’ve been experimenting with.

And as you can see, I’m getting extremely close to things by using the built-in optical zoom. I can get extremely close in proximity to everything around me.

And the simple thought of the day is, when photographing, when making videos of things, think more critically about how the camera is interpreting reality.

We have two eyes that see everything, but how can you use the camera to go beyond reality through seeing how the camera sees?
